The Audiophile is committed to delivering you with the best experience in professional home entertainment design and installation processes. The expert team will save you both time and money by taking care of the overall design of your new system, tailored to your needs.
The Audiophile’s CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) certified technicians will guide you every step of the way as you choose suitable audio visual and security products for your home.
The team also offers a complete installation process - whether you have selected a brand new system - or decide to integrate older devices with new products.
The best time to assess and discuss your audio visual requirements is before you start your building or renovating process. Correct design is essential, as once the new building or renovated property is complete it is often too late and costly to change the design.
So let The Audiophile specialists help you make informed choices about your technology systems and get them up and running in your home or business (see our Commercial section) as soon as possible.
All you will have to do is sit back and relax as you listen to music, watch a movie, or play a game on your new state-of-the-art home entertainment system.
Entertainment is for your enjoyment after all.

HI-FI Get a sensational listening experience others will envy.
The Audiophile’s two channel Hi-Fi sound systems provide the optimum in sound definition so you can listen to music how it was intended to be heard - clearly with a broad sound stage. Hi-Fi brings the concert and movie experience to you without you even having to leave your house. Creating a Hi-Fi set up is easy to achieve, thanks to our specialist team who can install discreet in-wall speakers, CD players, tuners and amplifiers, or traditional floor standing speakers. We will help you select the right speakers for your environment.
Home Theatre Watch your favourite films with surround sound.
The Audiophile can help you select a home theatre surround sound system to complement your visual experience. Whether you opt for a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system, the outcome will be an audio visual experience like no other. With most TV shows broadcasting in full 5.1 surround sound now, it’s worth installing this sound equipment so you can appreciate and benefit from what’s being produced. Your home theatre audio includes in-ceiling, in-wall or discreet satellite speaker options, meaning less clutter and a visually appealing home theatre.
Multi-Area Audio Listen to music at different volumes across multiple areas.
Multi-Area Audio is rapidly becoming a standard feature of most new and existing homes. It allows you to listen to your favourite tunes in multiple areas of your home. Enjoy various controls to select music, or alter the volume in each room. This is the perfect audio solution for indoor / outdoor entertainment areas.
There are two types of Multi-Area Audio:
Single Source Distributed Audio Enables you to listen to the same audio in multiple areas of your home.
Multi Source Distributed Audio Enables you, your family and friends to listen to different audio in multiple areas. This also includes options where you can see your iPod’s song and album information without being in the same room as your playing device.

A home entertainment system would not be complete without television.
While TV has long been a popular device for Kiwi families, advancements in technology in the past few years has meant selecting from the range of TVs on offer can sometimes be overwhelming.
The Audiophile team will help you choose the most suitable viewing products.
Get the latest in high definition flat panel TV and projection technology, and benefit from extra features such as Skype, Internet connectivity, 3D and more.
The Audiophile can point you in the right direction when it comes to selecting size, display method, LCD, LED and Plasma or Projection.
These are the main types of visual experiences you can achieve in your own home:
Digital TV
TV has gone digital, which means better quality picture and sound with on-screen TV guides and many other benefits.
There are two options when it comes to Digital TV:
- Satellite This requires a satellite dish and a satellite decoder to view TV. Freeview or Sky can both be received from satellite, but Freeview and standard Sky will only show in standard definition via satellite. Using a MY SKY HDi decoder will mean you can receive High Definition via satellite.
- Terrestrial
This option requires a good UHF antenna and either a TV with Freeview built in, or a separate decoder for older TVs. Terrestrial is broadcast in High Definition, but is only available in certain geographical areas.
HD and 3D TV
Enjoy an ultimate cinema experience in your own home by watching movies in High Definition (HD) or even 3D to complement your 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system. It’s paramount that the TV picture looks as good as it can, and this is why Digital HD TV and Blu-ray movie players have become the norm.
Distributed Video
With many homes now having more than one television across multiple rooms, it’s crucial to have the correct cabling and technological systems installed to ensure the best quality picture anywhere in your home. Distributed video enables you to enjoy crystal clear TV, movies and even means you can have the ability to keep an eye on your security camera video signals, wherever you are.
High Definition can also be distributed, however, choosing the correct supplier/installer is essential. There are many factors other than getting a picture from A to B when dealing with High Definition and High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). The amount of data between HD devices is immense and requires the correct equipment and installation to deliver a long lasting, solid connection throughout your home.

Lighting Use automated mood lighting control systems to adjust the level of lighting throughout the home and outdoors to create atmosphere and save power. You can even set movie mode lighting or dimmers to automatically come on in the evening and turn off when desired.
Multi-room audio and visual systems Set up control systems for your home audio and visual entertainment that, with the simple use of the touch panel, will give you a luxury experience. Enjoy iPod audio controls, view iPod data (album, track, title, etc) and control distributed audio systems through the source and volume to any area of your property. Pre-set TV channel favourites, browse the internet and even check the weather through a centralised control system.
At the end of the day all you will have to do is pick up the remote and get your audio visual experience started.
Here are the different types of multi-room control systems we offer:
- Basic universal remote controls The Audiophile have control options for any home entertainment system – of any size. A universal remote will consolidate all your AV remote controls into one easy to use remote. A single touch remote will enable multi-room control via a touch screen remote or in-wall keypads.
- Infrared and RF remote controls These allow you to control CD, DVD, Sky and other components from any room in your home. Most remotes that come with equipment are infrared, which means you must physically point the remote at the equipment to operate it. However, RF (radio frequency) remotes are what we recommend, as they works around the home, making it perfect for multi-room systems. RF also makes it possible for your system to be stored neatly away, out of sight, while you can control it from anywhere.
Security Use centralised control systems to set up and monitor your home security. The Audiophile’s security systems have full keypads, surveillance cameras, alarms and security lights which can also be controlled and operated by the touch panel to let you know if someone is entering your property.
